Job summary

Specfab Ltd. in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled fitter to assemble fabricated components in line with engineering drawings, SOPs, and quality standards. You will read drawings, follow procedures and complete the fitter check sheets.

The role requires practical experience, ability to work with cranes and lifting gear, maintain a clean workstation, report defects promptly, and support continuous improvements for quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Good standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent.
• Valid Forklift Truck and Overhead Crane operational training.
• Previous 1 year fitting experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble fabricated components in line with engineering drawings, SOPs and quality standards.
• Carry out full quality checks and complete fitter check sheets.
• Report any defects, damaged or missing parts to Supervisor or Quality Team.
• Ensure builds are complete and ready for final Quality inspection.
• Load completed assembly onto vehicle for transport.
• Maintain a safe and organized workstation.
• Co-operate with Health, Safety & Environmental policies and SOPs.
