Job summary

Sutton Recruitment is representing a fish production operation in Hull (HU3 area). We are seeking operatives to work on busy production lines, primarily trimming, filleting, and processing fish under strict hygiene standards.

Applicants should have experience in fish processing or related work and be able to stand for long periods. The role involves early mornings from Monday to Friday with regular, ongoing work. Immediate start for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in fish processing or related work preferred.
• Ability to work standing for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Remove bones and unwanted parts of fish as required.
• Inspect fish for quality and report defects or issues.
• Maintain food hygiene standards on the production line.
• Follow production schedules and complete filleting quotas.
• Use equipment such as tweezers correctly.
• Maintain PPE and utensils to required standards.
• Handle fish with care and in accordance with instructions.
• Perform lifting tasks in line with Manual Handling Instructions.
• Report faults within the production line and health/safety concerns to supervisors.
