Job summary

Workshop Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assembler with electronics assembly skills to join a growing electronics manufacturing business in the Portsmouth area. This role suits someone who enjoys precision work and wants to be part of a supportive team producing high-quality electronic products.

You will assemble electronic components, read drawings and instructions, perform PCB assembly tasks, and conduct visual inspections to meet exacting standards. English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling electronic components to high standards.
• Familiarity with PCBA processes and SMT principles.
• Knowledge of IPC or J-STD standards is advantageous.
• Excellent manual dexterity and precise hand-eye coordination.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components and products to a high standard.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions and technical specifications.
• Carry out PCB and electronic assembly tasks accurately.
• Perform visual quality inspections to ensure products meet required standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Follow company procedures and quality processes at all times.
• Support continuous improvement within the assembly process.
