Job summary

Wild Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented PCB Assembly Operator to join our electronics manufacturing team in Waterlooville. You will assemble, solder, test and inspect PCBs to meet quality standards and product specifications.

This temp-to-perm role runs 7:30-4:00 Monday-Thursday and 7:30-13:00 Friday. Duties include reading drawings and BOMs, using hand tools and SMT equipment, performing hand soldering, and collaborating with engineers to refine assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components on PCBs using hand tools, soldering irons, and automated equipment (SMT and through-hole).

• Operate SMT pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, wave soldering equipment, and inspection tools.
• Conduct visual inspections and functional tests to identify defects or quality issues.
• Troubleshoot and rework PCBs as necessary.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve assembly processes.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, soldering, testing, and inspecting printed circuit boards (PCBs) to ensure they meet quality standards and product specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components on PCBs using hand tools, soldering irons, and automated equipment (SMT and through-hole).
• Interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and bills of materials.
• Perform hand soldering of fine-pitch components, including surface-mount and through-hole parts.
• Operate SMT pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, wave soldering equipment, and inspection tools.
• Conduct visual inspections and functional tests to identify defects or quality issues.
• Troubleshoot and rework PCBs as necessary.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve assembly processes.
