Job summary

SPT Labtech in Melbourn, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a Process Technician on a 9‑month fixed‑term contract to support our CryoEM team. You will prepare and mix liquid reagents, assemble very small components, and perform quality checks to ensure every consumable product meets specification before it reaches a customer.

Full training is provided; prior laboratory experience is welcome but not essential. The role is site‑based with standard hours Monday‑Friday, plus occasional flexibility to meet

Qualifications

• No prior lab experience required; full training provided.
• Ability to follow SOPs and maintain accurate production records.
• Willingness to work on site at Melbourn, Cambridgeshire.

Responsibilities

• Work safely in a laboratory and maintain excellent housekeeping.
• Prepare and mix liquid reagents, assemble small components.
• Carry out quality control checks to confirm specifications before products reach customers.
