Job summary

Northwood Hygiene Products in the United Kingdom is seeking a Machine Setter/Operator to run our high-speed converting machinery, perform adjustments, changeovers, and ensure products meet quality specs.

You will work a 4 on 4 off 12-hour shift pattern (days 06:00–18:00 and nights 18:00–06:00), carry out pre-use safety checks, and support maintenance and documentation to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Experience setting machinery and changeovers, and performing basic maintenance.
• Experience in Converting, Packaging, Foods, or similar FMCG environment is beneficial.
• Ability to fault-find and support Shift Engineers to reduce downtime.
• Carry out pre-use lifting and equipment guarding checks to ensure Zero Harm.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-speed converting machinery and perform quality checks.
• Conduct regular changeovers and basic maintenance as required.
• Rectify defects or escalate to Shift Engineer/Cell Leader when needed.
