Job summary

Office Angels in Wigston (Leicester) is seeking an experienced CNC Setter Operator to join a high-precision engineering team. You will set and run CNC turning lathes to manufacture components to exceptionally tight tolerances on a modern high-tech facility.

The role offers excellent pay, shift allowances, and overtime at enhanced rates in a supportive environment with opportunities to progress into programming or multi-axis work.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
• Strong background in precision machining with tight tolerances.
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set and run CNC turning lathes to manufacture high-precision components.
• Perform in-process inspection using micrometers, calipers, shadow graph, and laser micrometer.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Machine parts to tolerances as tight as 0.010mm / 10 microns.
• Operate multiple machines during production runs.
• Maintain accurate machining and TPM documentation.
• Adhere to procedures, quality standards and safety guidelines.
