Job summary

Nottingham-based manufacturer is seeking a skilled Press Brake Setter/Operator to join their fabrication team on a permanent basis. You will set up and run CNC press brake machinery, reading engineering drawings to produce precision sheet metal components to high quality standards.

Responsibilities include selecting tooling, adjusting machine settings, carrying out first-off inspections, and performing in-process checks with verniers and angle gauges.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC press brake machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience selecting tooling and adjusting machine settings.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC press brake machinery.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Select tooling and machine settings for each production run.
• Carry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Use measuring equipment (verniers, rulers, angle gauges) to inspect finished parts.
• Make machine adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Work to production schedules and productivity targets.
• Report quality concerns, tooling issues or machine faults.
