Job summary

Ethero is seeking a reliable CNC Press Brake Operator in Sandbach to set up and operate CNC press brake machines, bend and form metal to tight tolerances, and read engineering drawings.

You will perform first-off and in-process checks, select tooling, maintain quality and safety, and work Monday to Friday 07:30–16:30 with weekly pay. This temporary-to-permanent role offers a competitive PAYE rate of £13.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating CNC press brake machinery.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Good knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Experience using measuring tools and carrying out quality checks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC press brake machines in line with production requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications.
• Select the correct tooling, machine settings, and materials for each job.
• Produce high-quality folded and formed metal parts to required tolerances.
• Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
• Measure and check components using gauges, rulers, calipers, and other measuring equipment.
• Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to achieve accurate results.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting where required.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to meet production targets and deadlines
