Job summary

Ion-Tec Limited in Sheffield is seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join our small, friendly engineering machine shop. You will take a drawing, select material, set up, program and operate Fanuc or Heidenhain CNC machines to produce precision components.

You will read technical drawings, interpret specs, set up tooling and fixtures, and perform routine maintenance. A proactive approach to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a hands-on team is essential.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating CNC milling machines with precision.
Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic calculations.
Safety-conscious with a proactive approach to quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC milling and grinding machines with precision, ensuring adherence to drawings and specifications.
Interpret technical drawings and set up tooling/fixtures for each job.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on CNC equipment.
Conduct basic maths calculations for measurements and tolerances.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Collaborate with the team to ensure quality and timely delivery.
