Job summary

Collaborate Recruitment seeks an experienced CNC Miller to join our client’s manufacturing team. The role involves setting, operating, and monitoring CNC milling machines to produce precision components in line with drawings and quality standards.

You will read engineering drawings, load tooling, set offsets, and conduct first-off inspections with verniers and micrometres. A strong eye for detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with measuring and inspection equipment (verniers, micrometres).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with Fanuc/Heidenhain/Siemens controls is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Load tooling, set offsets, and make basic programme adjustments where required.
• Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using measuring equipment.
• Ensure components meet quality and dimensional requirements.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
