Job summary

Taylor Hobson is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our Machine Shop. You will program, set and operate CNC turning and milling machines to produce high-precision components to exacting standards.

The role requires proven Mazak CNC programming experience and the ability to interpret engineering drawings. We value accuracy, teamwork and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
• Proven experience with Mazak CNC machines and CNC programming.
• Experience in precision engineering/manufacturing setting.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC turning, milling and mill-turn machines to manufacture high-precision components per drawings and specs.
• Produce components to tight tolerances and on-time delivery.
• Prepare, set up and maintain CNC machines per procedures and machine specs.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure correct manufacturing.
• Create and optimise CNC programs using ISO principles for production needs.
• Perform in-process and final inspection with micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, height gauges and CMM.
