Job summary

JOTA Group is seeking a Senior CNC Setter/Operator in Hastings to take ownership of complex 3, 4 and 5-axis milling operations. You will select tooling, fixtures and work-holding, prove-out CAM programs, and set up for production while maintaining GD&T accuracy.

You will work closely with Production Engineering, Quality and Maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement, mentor apprentices, troubleshoot issues and maximise productivity on precision-engineered components for motorsport and

Qualifications

Experience as a Senior CNC Setter/Operator with 3, 4 & 5-axis milling experience.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
Proven capability to prove-out CAM CNC programs and set tools.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of the complete machining process from loading programs to final inspection.
Select tooling, fixtures and work-holding to maximise accuracy and efficiency.
Prove-out new CAM CNC programs and suggest process optimisations.
Set offsets and verify machine setup for production.
Carry out first-off and in-process inspections to ensure GD&T conformance.
Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust processes to maintain quality and productivity.
Produce or modify work-holding as required.
Perform routine machine maintenance and support TPM/6S on the shop floor.
Collaborate with Programming, Engineering and Quality teams to drive improvements.
Mentor apprentices and support less experienced colleagues.
