Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking an experienced CNC Multi-Tasking Lathe Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment. You will operate CNC lathes to manufacture components from raw bar stock, following engineering drawings and production requirements.

You will perform first-off and in-process inspections, document quality records, report defects, and help maintain machine lubrication, cleanliness, and safety standards to ensure targets are met.

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering drawings.
• Experience operating CNC multi-tasking lathes.
• Experience carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC multi-tasking lathes to produce components from raw material.
• Read engineering drawings and follow production requirements.
• Perform first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Complete quality documentation and traceability records.
• Identify and report quality defects to the CNC Setter or Supervisor.
• Maintain machine lubrication, oils and coolants at optimum levels.
• Carry out daily/weekly/monthly maintenance checks and housekeeping.
