Qualifications

• At least 3 years recent experience in a manufacturing quality inspection role.
• Strong and recent CMM experience including programming.
• Good general metrology skills.
• Able to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
• Experience with non conformances and root cause analysis.
• Good IT skills and able to produce quality documentation.
• High attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and take responsibility for quality decisions.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out CMM inspections and create inspection programmes and reports.
• Complete dimensional checks using micrometers, calipers, height gauges and other measuring equipment.
• Inspect incoming materials, components and finished products.
• Complete first article inspections and quality records.
• Identify and deal with non conforming parts.
• Monitor production quality and tolerances.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Inspect customer returns where required.
• Maintain inspection equipment and records.
• Work with production and engineering to resolve quality issues.
• Support supplier quality and continuous improvement.
