Job summary

Holt Engineering in Downton is seeking an experienced Brazer to join our specialist manufacturing operation. You will braze precision tube, pipe and fabricated assemblies, reading engineering drawings and ensuring dimensional accuracy.

This role offers a 4-day week, five weeks' holiday (rising to six) and permanent employment within a high-quality manufacturing environment. You will work with exotic metals and contribute to ongoing quality and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in brazing within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with precision components, tube or pipe.
• Ability to accurately read and work from engineering drawings.
• Good practical fitting and assembly skills.
• Experience with aluminium, stainless steel, titanium or nickel alloys would be advantageous.
• Aerospace or automotive experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Braze precision tube, pipe and fabricated assemblies.
• Prepare, fit and align components prior to brazing.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.
• Work with materials different materials including exotic metals.
• Inspect completed work for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Identify and report any defects or production issues.
• Complete production and traceability documentation.
• Maintain equipment and a clean, organised working area.
• Follow all quality, Health & Safety and manufacturing procedures.
