Job summary

Gap Personnel is recruiting for an Assembly Technician at a leading Leeds manufacturing site (LS28). You will assemble electrical and mechanical components to specification and read engineering drawings.

You will operate overhead cranes, follow safety procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement within the production team. Rotating shifts provide a day and back shift pattern with good work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience in assembly, manufacturing, or mechanical fitting environment.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Competence with health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assemble large electrical and mechanical components to specification.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
• Use overhead cranes to move and position components safely.
• Maintain high quality workmanship and adhere to safety policies.
• Participate in continuous improvement within the production team.
