Job summary

Catering in Poole, Dorset is seeking a reliable Assembly Operator to join a busy manufacturing team. You will assemble push-button units and other components from technical drawings, using hand tools and basic wiring to meet production and quality standards.

The role suits candidates with experience in assembly or manufacturing who are precise, reliable and able to work to schedules in a hands-on environment. 37.5 hours per week + overtime, with flexible start times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in assembly, production or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and assembly instructions.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble push-button units and electronic/mechanical components to specification.
• Carry out basic wiring and electrical assembly tasks.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams and written instructions.
• Use a range of hand tools safely and effectively.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.
• Identify and report defects or production issues.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.
• Work to production schedules and performance targets.
• Support team objectives and continuous improvement activities.
