Mansell Recruitment Group seeks an experienced Assembly Fitter to join our client's manufacturing team in Bedfordshire. You will assemble and test mechanical units to engineering drawings and quality standards, coordinating with other departments to ensure safe, accurate, and timely work.

The role requires reading detailed drawings, assembly/derivation of units, pressure testing, and maintaining documentation with ERP updates.

Qualifications

• Around 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment in fitting/assembly.
• Qualified in a mechanical discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using a range of tools.
• Competent using measuring equipment.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
• Assemble and disassemble mechanical units and components.
• Rig and de-rig units safely and correctly.
• Carry out pressure testing on components and completed units.
• Use measuring equipment and produce dimensional and inspection reports.
• Safely use air-powered and electrical tools.
• Paint and prepare units for despatch.
• Complete relevant documentation and update the ERP system.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure Right First Time and On Time in Full.
• Maintain a clean and organised working environment in line with 5S principles.
• Follow all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures.
• Report any issues or deviations to the relevant Manager or Supervisor.
