Job summary

This hands-on auditing role is based at our client's distribution centre in Daventry. You will physically check stock for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and document results clearly, ensuring pallets, cages, and loads match paperwork before dispatch.

We’re seeking someone with warehouse experience, strong attention to detail, and basic Excel/Word skills. Benefits include 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, salary of £24,882 per year, on-site parking, and training.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse environment (stock control, checking, audit, picking, dispatch, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and confidence with basic calculations.
• Ability to work to targets while maintaining high standards.
• Clear communication skills, written and verbal.
• Basic Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge.
• Must be aged 18+.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical audits of pallets, cages, and trailer loads.
• Check outbound loads against driver paperwork and delivery requests.
• Verify inbound deliveries and report discrepancies.
• Record audit outcomes clearly and accurately.
• Escalate stock errors or mismatches quickly and professionally.
• Work to daily targets and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement by spotting recurring issues.
• Follow site safety procedures and work efficiently in a mixed environment.
