Thorn Baker Recruitment is seeking skilled Machine Setters / Operators to join the engineering and manufacturing team in Southwell (NG25). The role focuses on setting up, operating and maintaining industrial machinery with a strong emphasis on precision and quality control.

You will monitor equipment, perform routine maintenance, adjust settings, and troubleshoot issues to meet production schedules. A mechanical mindset and hands-on experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing background with machine setting experience.
• Hands-on machine minding, timing and setup processes.
• Strong mechanical understanding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with EFACS/ERP or similar systems.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate industrial machinery with precision.
• Monitor machinery and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet standards.
• Maintain and schedule regular upkeep or repairs.
• Adjust tools and parameters to optimise performance.
• Record production data and track workflow in EFACS/ERP.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals.
