Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited in London seeks a Precious Metals Options Trader to join a dynamic trading team. You will identify opportunities, deploy risk and execute strategies across OTC options and major exchanges, while building relationships with brokers and market participants.

You will analyse trends, volatility, and fundamentals in global precious metals markets, contributing to risk-adjusted returns and the firm’s growth. A strong quantitative mindset and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in options trading.
• Good understanding of options markets, including volatility, pricing, and risk-management principles.
• Experience managing trading positions and risk, with capability to take increasing ownership of risk-taking decisions.
• Knowledge of precious-metals fundamentals and their application to market views and trading strategies would be advantageous.
• Strong entrepreneurial drive with the ability to independently source and structure new opportunities
• Demonstrated success in high-pressure trading environments and collaborative team settings
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication skills, with an established network in the precious metals trading community
• Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous
• Technically skilled in Excel and AI coding tools

Responsibilities

• Identify and capitalize on opportunities to grow the business.
• Deploy and manage risk while executing trading strategies across precious metals OTC options and major global exchanges.
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, counterparties, and other market participants.
• Analyse market trends, volatility, price movements, and supply and demand fundamentals across global precious metals markets.
• Contribute to the team’s ongoing success.
