Job summary

Net-Temps seeks an experienced CAD Designer to join our precast concrete team in Ipswich. You will produce accurate technical drawings and 3D models for precast components, interpreting engineering drawings and ensuring compliance with project specs.

The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with engineers, project managers and production teams. Temp-to-perm opportunity with standard daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CAD Designer or CAD Technician, ideally in precast concrete or structural design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Ability to read and interpret structural/engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed CAD drawings and models for precast concrete components.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings into fabrication drawings.
• Prepare reinforcement detailing and production drawings for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and production teams.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and project specs.
• Revise drawings based on feedback and design changes.
• Maintain accurate drawing records and documentation.
