Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced CAD Technician in St Neots for a full-time permanent role, working 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday. You will create 2D and 3D drawings, technical brochures, and animations using AutoCAD and Autodesk, while developing libraries and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong AutoCAD experience (5+ years), OND/HND or equivalent, and membership such as IEng/Eng Tech, plus knowledge of steel/formwork and global standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of AutoCAD practical experience.
• Experience in structural steel / formwork, and construction/manufacturing knowledge.
• Proficient in producing technical brochures and drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines and in a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D and 3D drawings, technical brochures, 3D animations using AutoCAD and Autodesk.
• Develop and maintain AutoCAD and SketchUp libraries.
• Ensure all documentation meets quality and industry standards/regulations.
• Collaborate with suppliers and consultants on product development.
• Produce calculation competency for structures.
• Develop knowledge of industry standards across countries.
