Pre-sales Principal Solution Architect – SAP Specialist

Locations: UK – London; DE – Frankfurt

Tricentis is seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Solution Architect (SA) to join our fast-growing organization. While not required, our most successful SAs to date have had a background in software sales engineering and prior development experience. As a member of the sales team, this person should be comfortable operating in an “all hands-on deck” environment, able to coordinate across multiple teams and divisions, and thrive in a fast-paced startup-like culture. A strong work ethic and a desire to advance professionally are essential.

As a Pre-Sales Solution Architect, you will play a key role in expanding and strengthening the SAP & Tricentis partnership across EMEA. You will support customers in navigating industry-driven change, helping them modernize their technology landscape with comprehensive Quality Assurance solutions. Working closely with sales, product, and technical teams, you will showcase the value of Tricentis solutions for SAP environments, ensuring seamless integration, risk reduction, and accelerated innovation. Your role will also involve collaborating with SAP customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to drive adoption and long-term success.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work with sales and channel teams on opportunities with enterprise customers to increase product understanding and value proposition.
  2. Take the technical sales lead during the software sales cycle.
  3. Support the sales team in all technical and solution-related matters.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with technical decision-makers and influencers.
  5. Utilize your business knowledge and industry experience to identify QA challenges and develop tailored value propositions.
  6. Create innovative demos and establish trusted relationships with customer stakeholders.
  7. Promote our QA methodology best practices at industry events and client opportunities.
  8. Participate in product, sales, and procedural training to maintain necessary knowledge.
  9. Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, and deliver high-quality results.
  10. Represent the company and our solutions with passion and enthusiasm.
  11. Share innovations and findings with the wider Presales community.
  12. Assist in creating business cases and ROI models for customers.
  13. Develop a deep understanding of our solutions and how they work.

Basic Qualifications and Skills:

  1. 8+ years of experience in software sales, solution engineering, or customer-facing roles.
  2. Experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Development.
  3. Strong presentation and communication skills.
  4. Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.

Qualifications for Success:

  1. Knowledge of SAP including Application Lifecycle Management, SAP implementations, Business Technology Platform, and S/4 migrations; ABAP knowledge is a bonus.
  2. Experience with AI technologies and understanding their impact.
  3. Willingness to acquire technical and industry skills.
  4. Understanding of the competitive landscape and product positioning.
  5. Ability to navigate complex sales cycles professionally.
  6. Determination to succeed and over-achieve goals.
  7. Ownership mentality for technical wins.
