Job summary

South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust is offering an Apprenticeship Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician position. The role rotates across Sunderland Royal Hospital, South Tyneside District Hospital and CHoICE to gain comprehensive hospital pharmacy experience and prepare for the Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) Apprenticeship standard.

Applicants should meet Apprenticeship criteria; a commitment to flexible working and ability to participate in rosters including evenings, weekends

Qualifications

• Four GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English Language, Biology, Chemistry (or Dual award Science/Buttercups Level 2 Foundation in Science for Pharmacy Technicians) according to GPhC guidance.
• Four GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade B or above (Maths, English Language, Biology, Chemistry) according to GPhC guidance.

Responsibilities

• Develop skills and knowledge across hospital pharmacy to become a qualified Pharmacy Technician and work towards the Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) Apprenticeship standard.
