The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust offers a fixed‑term apprenticeship at North Devon District Hospital to train as a registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC. The program combines practical rotation through dispensary, aseptic/technical services, procurement, distribution and medicines management, with online learning managed by Bradford College.

You will perform final accuracy checks on prescriptions and undertake the BTEC Level 3 Diploma qualification.

Qualificações

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must complete the BTEC Level 3 Diploma qualification via Bradford College.
• Apprentice will rotate through Pharmacy Department and undertake training.

Responsabilidades

• Receiving and issuing prescriptions using an electronic prescribing system.
• Dispensing and carrying out an accuracy check on prescriptions.
• Contributing to the provision of systemic anti-cancer therapies.
• Medicine stock control and supply.
• Medicine procurement and receipt, including discrepancy management.
• Ward-based medicines management and optimisation.
• Provision of excellent customer care with patient confidentiality.
