Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support pre-preg carbon fibre lay-up operations in Watford. You will prepare tools, kit materials, and follow set procedures to ensure quality and on-time production.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team, with a focus on safety and completing tasks to deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to follow precise instructions and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Understanding of material handling and curing processes beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tools (cleaning and applying release agents) for pre-preg operations.
• Perform kitting and lay-up of pre-preg materials in the correct sequence and orientation.
• Apply vacuum bagging techniques and prepare breather bag material kits.
• Conduct curing operations for pre-preg components using autoclaves, ovens, and vacuum systems following set procedures.
• Monitor material shelf life and maintain traceability.
• Follow all quality, safety, and process procedures to ensure compliance.
• Attend daily team meetings to review targets, issues, and safety updates.
• Identify and elevate production or quality issues promptly.
