Job summary

Empower Advisory UK, part of the BMD Group, seeks an experienced Civil Construction Engineer at Sub Agent level to lead pre-construction activities for a new scope at HPC. You will coordinate design deliverables, quality documentation and programmes, liaising with the quality team to ensure compliant processes.

The role transitions to delivery during construction, reporting to the delivery manager, with site attendance required and occasional home working.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Civil Construction Engineering at Sub Agent Level.
• High level of IT skills including Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• High level of written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in highly regulated environments.
• Good knowledge of digital engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks).
• Desirable: Previous experience with software-based quality system (Dalux or similar).
• Desirable: Knowledge of Civil Engineering or qualification to attain Chartered ICE membership.
• Desirable: Previous experience in Temporary Works (TWC and/or TWD).

Responsibilities

• Draft and implement the pre-construction process for a specific scope of work within the Civil Framework at HPC.
• Liaise with quality department to ensure processes for the preparation, review and briefing of all quality documents and procedures.
• Understand the design requirements for each work area including Design Manager, Principal designer, Temporary Works Dept and third party suppliers.
• Ensure realistic programmes are prepared, managed, monitored and reviewed prior to handover to delivery team.
• Move from pre-construction to delivery role for a section of the new works and report to delivery manager.
