Pre-Authorization Clinical Case Manager- Onc/Haem

Clinical Case Manager-Oncology & Haematology Pre Authorization
London: Corporate
Full time: 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: Monday - Friday
Shifts: 8-4 or 9-5
Permanent contract
Salary: up to £50,000 per annum (DOE)

We're seeking a Clinical Case Manager with senior inpatient bedside nursing experience, Band 6 or above, in Oncology/Haematology to join the Case Management Team at HCA Healthcare UK.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse to advance their career as a Clinical Case Manager.

Responsibilities include obtaining Pre-Authorization for complex cases within the service line prior to admission (e.g., Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, Bone Marrow Transplant), ensuring requests meet national standards and contractual obligations. You will collaborate with third-party payers to promote quality and cost-effective patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating care options.

Requirements include:

  • Registered Nurse with NMC Pin
  • Extensive post-qualification hospital experience
  • Utilisation review and discharge planning expertise
  • Oncology/Haematology knowledge/experience
  • Experience as a Senior Staff Nurse/Band 6 or above
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Desirable: experience in Private Medical Insurance industry
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills; proactive problem-solving approach
  • Ability to work independently and within teams
