Job summary

Nuffield Health Highgate Hospital is seeking a Health Care Assistant to join our Pre-Assessment bank. Phlebotomy skills are essential, and you will assist nurses with pre-operative assessments, recording vitals and patient histories in a compassionate, professional manner.

Ideal candidates will hold NVQ Level 2 in Health Care, with Level 3 preferred, and have hospital experience. This ad-hoc bank role offers flexible hours to fit your availability and contributes to a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 2 in Health Care or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy skills are essential and ECG capability is required.
• Experience in a hospital setting is a must and NVQ Level 3 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take blood and support pre-operative assessments.
• Record vital signs and patient medical/nursing histories.
• Provide comfort and reassurance to patients and families.
• Work with nurses and practitioners to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist with administrative duties as needed.
