An established healthcare leader is seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the Pre-Analytic Service for a major NHS Trust. Pre-Analytic Service provides operational leadership for Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Phlebotomy and specimen reception services. It covers UHCW NHS Trust, including Rugby St Cross, GEH NHS Trust, South Warwick Foundation Trust, including Stratford Hospital. This post is also responsible for primary care phlebotomy for Coventry and Warwickshire.
The post is supported by the Haematology Network Manager, Senior Pathology Manager for Blood Sciences, and the Modern Matrons for Diagnostics.

Main duties include ensuring the operational safety of the Pre-Analytic service, maintaining active recruitment and retention processes, staff development, and succession planning.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the service meets all operational and quality key performance indicators.
They will also work with stakeholders to develop and improve the service, monitor, and enhance patient experience.
The role involves exploring future developments such as electronic systems and working within multidisciplinary teams in pathology, primary, and secondary care stakeholders.
