Ashfield Medical Centre, which joined Keystone GP Partnership from April 2026, is recruiting a Lead Nurse to head the practice nursing team.

The post holder will set clinical standards, oversee long‑term condition care, audits, QOF delivery and staff development, with prescribing welcome but not required. Current NMC PIN registration is essential.

We seek an experienced practice nurse who can work autonomously, lead a team and contribute to governance and quality improvement across primary care.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration with a valid PIN.
• Established practice nurse experience within general practice.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead a nursing team.
• Experience managing long-term conditions and preventative healthcare.
• Experience of QOF, clinical indicators, audits or quality improvement in primary care.
• Experience of clinical governance, safeguarding and infection control.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight of the practice nursing team.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care.
• Undertake and oversee a range of primary care nursing services.
• Support management of long-term conditions and preventative healthcare.
• Oversee clinical audits, quality improvement and practice targets.
• Support delivery and monitoring of QOF and other contractual requirements.
• Maintain infection prevention and control standards.
• Promote safeguarding practice and elevate concerns appropriately.
• Support induction, supervision and development of nursing staff and healthcare support staff.
• Contribute to clinical governance, risk management and incident reporting.
• Develop and review nursing protocols, policies and clinical procedures.
• Work with GPs and the wider practice team, community services and other healthcare professionals.
