Job summary

The Panton Practice is seeking an enthusiastic and friendly practice nurse to join our growing team. You must have recent relevant experience as a practice nurse and be competent in diabetic reviews, including injectable medication commencement. This is on a bank contract, to meet the needs of the practice, on an adhoc basis.

Flexible as to days and hours. You will work with the primary healthcare team to deliver chronic disease reviews, supervise recalls and maintain accurate records.

• Registered Nurse - adult
• Qualified in Phlebotomy
• Chronic disease management - Asthma, COPD

Responsibilities

• Chronic disease reviews - Diabetes
• Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by the GPs or other Clinicians
• Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of nurses and treatment rooms
• Participation in administrative systems in the Practice
• Maintain accurate records
• Advise senior nurses of potential problems or errors within the range of assigned tasks
• Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post

Main duties of the job

• Carry out annual diabetes reviews
• Follow up appointments with patients
• Liaising with secondary care team, GPs, administrators
• Oversight of recalls, QOF and waiting lists
