Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to work in a GP practice in Wilmslow. You will deliver chronic disease reviews, treat in the clinic, and run routine nursing clinics within a structured primary care environment.

Role focuses on high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, preventative health work and treatment room activity, with well-organised workflows and supportive nursing leadership in place.

Qualifications

• Registered with the NMC and experienced in primary care.
• Up-to-date immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Familiar with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or enhanced DBS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children’s immunisations (if trained).
• Undertaking smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Document clearly in the clinical system.
