Job summary

Locum Ready is looking for a Locum Practice Nurse to work for a GP practice in Sutton. This role is ideal for a Practice Nurse with strong assessment skills who can confidently deliver chronic disease reviews, treatment room procedures and routine nursing clinics in a structured primary care environment.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through a balance of clinical reviews, preventative health work and treatment room activity.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with experience in primary care.
• Up-to-date immunisation and cytology training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children’s immunisations (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Document clearly in the clinical system.

Requirements
