A leading healthcare provider is seeking a motivated Practice Nurse to join their team in a supportive environment. The role involves a variety of nursing duties including cervical screening, immunisations, and chronic disease management. Byron Medical Practice are looking to recruit a Practice Nurse to join our friendly team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual, ideally with experience of working in primary care to work alongside our existing Practice Nurse and Healthcare Assistants.
Working hours are negotiable and will ideally be 16 to 28 hours per week worked over 2 or 3 days. Working days will include Friday.
The successful candidate will provide a range of practice nurse duties including cervical screening, contraceptive services, childhood and travel immunisations, adult vaccinations, wound management.
Experience in chronic disease management would be an advantage.
We are a friendly, well-organised 3 Partner Practice serving around 8,500 patients. We are also part of 5 practices that make up the North Easington Primary Care Network which has an excellent track record for collaboration, care and support. Our Practice Team includes 6 GPs, 2 Nurse Practitioners, 2 Pharmacists, 2 Practice Nurses, 3 HCA's and a supportive administration team. We have regular clinical meetings, practice meetings and MDT meetings as well as Protected Time in / time out sessions. Support and mentorship will be provided and we actively encourage Specialist clinical interests and continued professional development.
Duties will include:
Cervical Cytology
Contraceptive reviews and management
Childhood immunisation
Chronic Disease reviews / management
