Locum Ready is seeking a Practice Nurse to work with a GP practice in Saltburn By The Sea. The role focuses on chronic disease reviews, wound care, immunisations (where trained) and running routine nursing clinics in a structured primary care setting.

The nurse will contribute to high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, preventive health work and treatment room activity, supported by well-organised workflows and nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered Nurse with experience in primary care.
• Up-to-date immunisation and cytology training desirable
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work
• Good patient communication and clinical reasoning
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties
• Carry out immunisations (if trained)
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained nurses)
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks
• Document clearly in the clinical system

This role is ideal for a Practice Nurse with strong assessment skills who can confidently deliver chronic disease reviews, treatment room procedures and routine nursing clinics in a structured primary care environment.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through a balance of clinical reviews, preventative health work and treatment room activity. The practice offers well-organised workflows, supportive nursing leadership and a clear structure for daily clinic delivery.
