Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to work at a GP practice in Hull. You will deliver chronic disease reviews, wound care, immunisations and routine nursing clinics within a structured primary care environment.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, preventive health work and treatment room activity, with regular or ad-hoc sessions, morning or afternoon availability and long-term bookings offered by the practice.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with experience in primary care.
• Up-to-date immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Good patient communication and clinical reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Performing wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carrying out adult and children’s immunisations (if trained).
• Undertaking smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Completing NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Managing results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Documenting clearly in the clinical system.
