The role offers regular or ad-hoc sessions with morning and afternoon slots and long-term bookings. You should be NMC-registered with primary care experience and familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Up-to-date immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children immunisations (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Document clearly in the clinical system.

Locum Ready is looking for a Locum Practice Nurse to work for a GP practice in Selby. This role is ideal for a Practice Nurse with strong assessment skills who can confidently deliver chronic disease reviews, treatment room procedures and routine nursing clinics in a structured primary care environment.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through a balance of clinical reviews, preventative health work and treatment room activity. The practice offers well-organised workflows, supportive nursing leadership and a clear structure for daily clinic delivery.
