Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to join a GP practice in Goole. You will deliver chronic disease reviews, wound care, immunisations, smear tests and NHS Health Checks within a structured primary care setting, documenting clearly in the clinical system.

You’ll work with confident clinical reasoning, be DBS checked, and bring familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision. Regular or ad-hoc sessions with morning and afternoon availability, long-term bookings, and supportive nursing

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with experience in primary care.
• Immunisation training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children’s immunisations (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Document clearly in the clinical system.
