Kingswood Surgery in Harrogate is seeking a qualified nurse to join their friendly team. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care, including wound management and chronic disease management, within a supportive environment. Ideal candidates will be RGN registered and possess a passion for primary care nursing.
Kingswood Surgery is a warm friendly team, and because our lovely nurse is retiring, we are now looking for a qualified nurse with an interest or experience in Primary Care nursing to join our current team of a Lead Nurse and HCA.

Kingswood surgery Harrogate is based in a purpose-built Health Centre.
We have a growing list size of approx. 6900 patients and are part of the Heart of HarrogatePrimary Care Network.
We have an extended clinical team, which includes Clinical Pharmacists, Mental Health Practitioner and Physiotherapists working alongside the GPs and Nursing team, they are all supported by a dedicated management and adminteam.

Job responsibilities
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Responsibilities:
All clinical tasks and duties will be performed aftercompletion of accredited courses and deemed competent.
Treatment room: Provide general treatment room nursing caresuch as wound management, vaccinations, phlebotomy, and chronic diseasemanagement.
Assessments and Procedures: Conduct health assessments,screenings, and routine procedures such as ECGs, spirometry, and blood pressuremonitoring.
Treatment Planning: Implement treatment plans for a widerange of acute and chronic conditions in collaboration with the widerhealthcare professionals.
Health Promotion and Education:
Health promotion and prevention: delivery a range of healthcare services that support health promotion and prevention including sexualhealth and participate in public health programs and initiatives to promotewellness and disease prevention within the community.
Patient Education: Deliver educational support to patientson health management, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
Chronic Disease Management:
Specialised care: Organise and run specialised clinicsrelating to long term conditions management such as: asthma, COPD, Diabetes andother relevant nurse-led clinical areas.
Care Protocols: Follow protocols for the management ofchronic diseases and chronic disease registers such as diabetes, asthma, COPD,and cardiovascular disease.
Patient Monitoring: Regularly review and monitor patienthealth status and adjust care plans as necessary.
To undertake Home Visits as required by the Practice
Immunisation and Vaccination:
Vaccination Schedules: Administer vaccines according tonational immunisation schedules.
Patient Follow-Up: Ensure proper follow-up and recordmanagement for vaccinations and immunisations.
Administrative and Record Keeping:
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patientrecords, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with GDPR.
Data Management: Utilise System One to enter patient dataand retrieve patient information efficiently.
Multi-disciplinary Teamwork: Work closely with GPs, LeadNurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care andservice delivery.
Professional Development: Engage in continuous professionaldevelopment to keep up to date with the latest healthcare practices andinnovations.
Students and supervision: Facilitate learning experiences ofother clinicians, including trainees, provide supervision, and promote sharedlearning.
