Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a NMC-registered Practice Nurse to work with a GP practice in Croydon. The role involves conducting chronic disease reviews, wound care, and routine nursing clinics within a structured primary care setting.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through clinical reviews, preventive health work and charting in the NHS system. Regular or ad-hoc sessions with long-term bookings are available.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Up-to-date immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Good patient communication and clinical reasoning.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children’s immunisations (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Managing results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Documenting clearly in the clinical system.
