Job summary

Locum Ready seeks a Practice Nurse to work for a GP practice in Coulsdon. The role focuses on chronic disease reviews, treatment-room procedures and routine nursing clinics in a structured primary care setting.

You will perform wound care, immunisations, health checks, recalls and ensure clear documentation in the clinical system, with regular or ad-hoc sessions and long-term bookings.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment-room work.
• Familiar with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Carry out adult and children’s immunisations (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests (cytology-trained nurses).
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Manage results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks.
• Document clearly in the clinical system.
