Job summary

Pelton and Fellrose Medical Group is seeking a part-time Practice Nurse to join our team. The role covers 28–34 hours per week across 3–4 days and involves delivering high-standard nursing care to patients while supporting doctors and the Primary Healthcare Team.

Your duties include documenting consultations per NMC guidelines, managing long-term conditions, running Well Person Clinics and health checks, performing Cervical Cytology Tests and ECGs, and assisting with minor surgery and disease

Qualifications

• NMC registration in the UK and eligible to practice.
• RGN qualification.
• Cervical cytology qualification.
• Accredited training in chronic disease management.

Responsibilities

• Document consultations according to NMC Guidelines.
• Support long-term condition management and carry out checks (venepuncture, BP, diabetic foot checks).
• Run Well Person Clinics and Health Promotion Programmes, NHS and new patient health checks.
• Perform Cervical Cytology Tests.
• Undertake ECGs.
• Assist in Minor Surgery and Coil fittings.
• Develop experience in Long Term Condition management.

To provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients, as well as providing nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the Primary Healthcare Team.

Job responsibilities

• Able to document consultations according to NMC Guidelines
• Able to support patients in long term condition management, and carry out practice checks such as venepuncture, blood pressure monitoring, diabetic foot checks
• Running Well Person Clinics and Health Promotion Programmes, facilitating change by providing holistic, assessment and lifestyle advice, smoking, alcohol intake and exercise, including NHS and new patient health checks
• Perform Cervical Cytology Tests
• Ability to undertake ECGs
• Assist in the provision of Minor Surgery and Coil fittings
• Have some experience in managing Long Term Conditions, or be interested in developing this skill
