• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.

Keighley Road Surgery is a well-established, patient-focused GP practice with a list size of approximately 10,500 patients. We are looking to recruit an experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive clinical team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse with previous experience of working in a general practice setting. The ideal candidate will be confident in delivering a wide range of practice nursing services and demonstrate a proactive approach to patient care.

Main duties of the job

• Chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, asthma, COPD)
• Cervical cytology
• Childhood and adult immunisations
• Wound care and dressings
• Contraceptive advice
• NHS Health Checks and screening
• Health promotion and lifestyle advice
• Infection prevention and control
• Supporting the practice in meeting QOF, IIF, and other quality targets
• Depending on experience, we will encourage you to support training and development for nurses and health care assistants within the Practice.

Salary: £20 to £24 an hour Subject to Experience

Qualifications

Essential

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
• Previous experience working as a Practice Nurse in a GP surgery.
• Up-to-date knowledge and skills in chronic disease management.
• Excellent communication and team-working skills.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Competent in using SystmOne.

Desirable

• Independent Nurse Prescriber qualification.
• Additional qualifications in chronic disease management.
• Experience in minor illness or triage.
