Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd is seeking a Pharmacy Practice Manager for Golborne. This role combines patient care with commercial focus, requiring strong leadership to drive profitability while delivering outstanding patient experience and safety.

You will lead the pharmacy team, ensure targets and quality metrics are met, and collaborate with store, regional and head office teams.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified pharmacist, registered with the GPhC.
• Balance line-management duties with clinical responsibilities.
• Inspire and motivate a team to meet defined KPIs.
• Provide evidence of valid GPhC registration, right to work in the UK, safeguarding qualifications; DBS check and live-update enrollment.

Practice Manager – Golborne

Reporting into the Area Manager, the Pharmacy Practice Manager role combines patient care and commercial focus. The position requires strong leadership, a passion for healthcare, and the ability to drive the pharmacy’s profitability while delivering outstanding patient experience and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the pharmacy team to achieve excellence in patient care.
• Ensure delivery of all pharmacy-related targets, deadlines and quality metrics.
• Maintain high standards of professional customer service and ensure full compliance with GPhC operating standards and clinical governance.
• Support the development and performance of direct reports and locums.
• Collaborate with in‑store, regional and home‑office teams for clinical and service support.

Shift Pattern

Work shift: days only, 44 hours per week. Sample rota:Week1 – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 09:00‑21:00;Week2 – Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 09:00‑21:00.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified pharmacist, registered with the GPhC.
• Demonstrated ability to balance line‑management duties with clinical responsibilities.
• Proven track record of inspiring and motivating a team to meet defined key performance indicators.
• Experience in challenging, confronting and resolving difficult situations while maintaining strong relationships with store and field teams.

Applicants must also be able to provide evidence of valid GPhC registration, right to work in the UK, relevant safeguarding qualifications, and will be required to undergo a DBS check and enroll in the live‑update service.
