Job summary

inspiring vet care is recruiting a Practice Manager for Glenshane Vets in Northern Ireland. This full‑time role (40 hours across 4 or 5 days) leads non‑clinical operations, working with clinical leadership to deliver outstanding client care.

You will manage operations, people, and compliance, supporting performance and service objectives while building a positive culture across multiple practices in Maghera, Fairhill and Dungiven. The salary is up to £35,000 DOE and closing date 30 July 2026.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a management role, ideally in healthcare or veterinary services.
  • Strong people leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
  • Experience handling change, complaints and complex situations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day administration and operational management of the practice.
  • Lead and develop the reception and administrative teams.
  • Manage staff rotas, annual leave, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities, interviews, onboarding and induction.
  • Support employee engagement, performance management and development.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Director and Head Nurse to meet objectives and standards.
  • Monitor KPIs and support business goals achievement.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle client feedback and assist with resolving complaints.

Glenshane Veterinary Group, part of inspiring vet care, is seeking a Practice Manager to support our busy practices in Maghera, Fairhill and Dungiven. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive operational leader who enjoys working alongside a large clinical team while supporting people, processes and performance to deliver outstanding patient and client care.

Working closely with the Clinical Director, Head Nurse and wider management team, you'll play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the practices, leading the non‑clinical team and helping to create a positive, efficient and collaborative working environment.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As Practice Manager, you will lead the non‑clinical operations of the practice, working closely with clinical leadership to ensure efficient day‑to‑day running, strong team performance and an outstanding client experience.

You’ll be responsible for operational delivery, people management and compliance, while supporting the practice to achieve its performance, quality and service objectives. This role plays a key part in creating a positive culture and enabling clinical teams to deliver exceptional care.

Working Pattern

This is a full‑time role working 40 hours per week across 4 or 5 days.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day‑to‑day administration and operational management of the practice
  • Lead, support and develop the reception and administrative teams
  • Manage staff rotas, annual leave planning and workforce scheduling to ensure appropriate practice cover
  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, onboarding and induction
  • Support employee engagement, performance management and staff development initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with the Clinical Director and Head Nurse to deliver practice objectives and maintain high standards of service
  • Monitor key performance indicators and support the achievement of business goals
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Handle client feedback and support the resolution of complaints
