Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Practice Educator / Charge Nurse within the Complex Packages of Care (Adult) Service based at Ballot Road, Irvine. You will provide professional leadership and expert community nursing care, working with the Clinical Team Leader and Senior Nurse to support learning and service delivery.

Applicants should hold 1 Level Registration – Adult Nursing with current NMC registration, and a postgraduate qualification; commitment to CPD and teaching in clinical practice is

Qualifications

• 1 Level Registration - Adult Nursing with current NMC registration.
• Experience in primary care/community setting.
• Postgraduate qualification at post graduate diploma level or equivalent.
• Experience in a role that supports practice learning.
• Current knowledge of leg ulcer management ideally with professional qualification.
• Experience in and commitment to teaching and facilitation of learning in clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership and expert community nursing care advice.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Team Leader (CTL) and the Senior Nurse for Community Nursing within the service.
• Support practice learning and staff development.
• Work across community settings within the Complex Packages of Care (Adult) Service.
