Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay is seeking a Registered Nurse to become a Practice Educator in CCDE. The post holder will drive learning within the Community, Cancer, Diagnostics and End of Life Division, linking predominantly with community teams and supporting two‑hour response, induction, preceptorship, and core clinical skills.

You will work with the Quality and Service Improvement Matron and collaboratives to lead on interprofessional learning, patient safety training and staff

Qualifications

• Registered Practitioner (NMC / HCPC registered)
• Degree or diploma plus relevant experience up to degree level
• Teaching and Assessing Qualification or Evidence of Assessing and Supervision, Preceptorship and Performance Development
• Practical experience of facilitating change
• Experience of staff management/staff supervision
• Experience of developing and implementing new systems and procedures
• Ability to facilitate multidisciplinary relationships
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Up to date clinical skills including Venepuncture, Catheterisation and related devices
• Flexible / Agile Working
• Leadership course
• Post Graduate certificate in Education
• Change management experience with benchmarking/audit
• Knowledge of the private, voluntary and independent sector
• Understanding of quality improvement methodology and outcome measurement
• Extended clinical skills – Cannulation, ECG, IV drug administration

Responsibilities

• Ensure provision of high quality multi professional learning environments within CCDE
• Work locally within services to promote inter professional learning opportunities
• Identify opportunities and lead on delivery and review of inter professional learning
• Develop all staff to the highest standard and promote a culture of patient safety
• Promote collaboration with Quality and Service Improvement stakeholders
